In this class students will learn how to blend their own masala chai tea at home using traditional spices and ingredients. Students will also be introduced to vegan-friendly and reduced sugar adaptations of this classically milk-sweet libation. We will also cover adaptations such as caffeine free herbal chai blends as well.
Several varieties of chai will be made during class for all to try.
All students will leave with their own ingredients for chai blending at home, as well as handouts and resources on where to find ingredients.

I received my clinical Herbalist certification from Appalachia School of Holistic Medicine in Asheville, NC in 2010, culminating over three years of both formal academic, field, and informal personal study.
I learned principles of tea blending during my studies in herb school and have been blending & brewing teas for friends and family for years. I blend my own chai tea virtually every morning at home using whole spices and herbs, so I can just about do it in my sleep these days!
